Thank you for your interest in Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida! For more than 95 years Girl Scouts have been helping girls discover their self potential. Did you know that 70% of women in the U.S. Congress were Girl Scouts? They’re not alone. About 64% of women executives and leaders have participated in Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts has designed age – appropriate programs that meet the needs of today’s girls. Today’s Girl Scouts may register individually or as members of interest groups that explore everything from camping to careers. The Girl Scout program is flexible and offers many ways (Pathways) to participate in Girl Scouting. Please view: FAQ’s.
The goals of Girl Scout programs are to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. The model is based on three principles:
- Girls discover their world and their own potential and strengthen their values
- Girls connect with others through caring relationships and team building
- Girls become empowered to take action and be advocates for themselves and others
Membership
Girl Scouting is open to all girls between the ages of 5 and 17 who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law and adults over the age of 18 who accept the organizations principles and beliefs as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution of the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Annual membership dues for the current Girl Scout membership year are $12.00 each for both girls and adults.
Online Membership Registration
You may now register to become a Girl Scout by completing the online Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida’s membership registration. The online membership registration including the annual membership dues payment will take place within our council’s registration website (E-Council) which is a secured site. Please click here to access the online membership registration page and then click Membership on the Registration screen. You will be able to select either Girl or
Adult Registration. Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail along with additional Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida membership information.
